"Dystopia" in stores now, charting this Sunday night/Monday morning.

2,000 copies sold will currently get you around the 30 mark...

I'm calling 8.

the power of 666  said about 7 years ago:

danielz  said about 7 years ago:

30

danielz  said about 7 years ago:

that was meant to be 'greater than 30'

Inactivist  said about 7 years ago:

Yeah. Over 20. It's a fucking great effort but they just don't have that widespread appeal.

anonymous  said about 7 years ago:

yeah, you're proabably right dan.

sad but true, 2000 is still a lot of copies, and the kids won't get onto it that quickly.

MountainMan  said about 7 years ago:

is JJJ plugging the crap out of this album?

blake3030  said about 7 years ago:

It has been highly anticipated though, it may just break through.

The idea they'll hit top 5 is a little far fetched though, I think.

Will depend on how many kids have downloaded as opposed to bought.

album vs single?

anonymous  said about 7 years ago:

would be some, single markets also affected by even poorer physical sales then the album, and also the fanbase being able to pick it up easy via digital means if they want it.

in theory he might have a bigger promotion budget behind him, but thats hearsay on my part.

anyhow, thats for the chart thread not this thread.

I think ladyinred wins with 22, good guess.

anonymous  said about 7 years ago:

the fact its beaten the new elvis album, even by the bearest of margins, brings some joy to my heart.

astralwerkor  said about 7 years ago:

Theres a new elvis album?

ladyinred  said about 7 years ago:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

whatdoiwin?!?!?!

oh wow. 21... i was actually being rather conservative. i was thinking it should hit at least around 15.

there is a new elvis album?

anonymous  said about 7 years ago:

seems to be, its probably propping his corpse up next to tupac shakur to grind out some more money from suckers.

astralwerkor  said about 7 years ago:

Fucken. Take a bit of effort to prop up that bloated pile of congealed fat. Watch poor Tupac isn't crushed in the process.

lowercase  said about 7 years ago:

why anyone would think it would be anywhere in the top 20 is beyond me.

it is midnight juggernauts for god's sake, not bloc party.

blake3030  said about 7 years ago:

They were only one spot off it.... so not completely unreasonable to think it was possible really.

lowercase  said about 7 years ago:

but people were calling top 5!

totally impossible.

kuroneko  said about 7 years ago:

It's number three on the AIR charts.

poprocks96  said about 7 years ago:

dont suppose anyone here could get one saturday night ticket ??? willing to pay etc etc.

Inactivist  said about 7 years ago:

Hmmm, kuro. I'm willing to bet that there are still a couple of John Butler albums in the top twenty of the AIR charts. It's shoulda topped those charts for sure.

poprocks96  said about 7 years ago:
