A bit late with this, but this is such a great pop song. Just awesome. What kind of voice is that? She's what? 19? And she sings with such an old voice.
Of course, she is also a beautiful woman.
But the tune! The beat. The slickness. That ella, ella, eh, eh bit...
Makes me happy to be alive and a music fan in 2007
And that fucking Jay-Z, he doesn't even do anything past the first 20 seconds of the song. Bastard. I hate him
(I love him)
Yep, tis an awesome track.
Though we have Nova on at work and after a few months now of high-rotation it's reached that point where i wish it would fuck off.
I like the ''in anticipation for precipitation'' line from Jigga. That gangsta owns a dictionary!
This song fucking rules.
sounds like ''a llama named ella''
I'm going to have to buy this song today. Anyone got the album? Any good?
I've heard it's a killer pop album supposedly a step up from the patchy affairs put out by Beyonce, Gwen, Fergie etc. I wouldn't have thought that would be too hard though. The new single is a bit lame, sounds like Sugababes or something, lite-poprock.
number one in Australia, UK and US at the same time... is it just me that isnt really down with this song?
is it this one?
(youtube)
yup. That beat kicks my ass all the way up and down the street.
Obviously I don't expect everyone to like it. Still, I think it's awesome and I want to know if anyone thinks the album is anygood. I'm trying hunt down some clips for the album now.
probably my favourite pop song since ''my love''
The Wings song??
I love that song. Best solo ever, until November Rain came along.
nah, justin/ti
in fact, i might just like umbrella more.
The JT song esquared? I dug that too, only decent thing I've ever heard from JT and I really like the TI rap on that track.
i dig almost all of the new JT album actually. but yeah its his best song, and agreed on TI's verse
Oh cool I'll check that song out. I loved Senorita by JT. And all those singles from the first album.
and fuck, the album was called Justified, which is such a great title. It's like one of my dad's jokes.
oh seniorita is amazing. justified was pretty much singles + filler though... whereas futuresex/lovesounds is actually a great album start to finish, for the most part anyway
a super fantastic song from rihanna...although not many pop songs beat ''trick me'' by kelis.
why didn't she release anything decent after or before that?
Back to Rihanna, anna, anna, eh, eh...
NO! JT is lame! He got lucky with ''My Love'' the rest is dull esp. the last two singles, that ''she's Freaky And She Knows It'' one is just painful.

Step Right Up is a Tom Waits song, not a rap song
Ace chorus still, inspite/because of being the new 'forever/ever/ever/etc''.
ELLA ELLA ELLA EH EH EH....
heard the housey as fuck remix that Diplo had on the Pitchfork mix that he did? Cheesey, but oh so good
bitch too cheap to just by a delay?
nah, kidding. great track. the gals (and bergholt) rocked it at karaoke the other night.
by = buy.
We made it sound like a school camp song : )
Just heard the Manic Street Preachers version, pretty good - makes this song a million times better.
It's on the cover mount CD on today's NME...
i would just like to say that this young lady has a great set of chest assets. i endured the song she does with that band i don't like, has a number in the name, and i couldn't take my eyes off of her.
golf claps
i've never heard the original but we did a concert here and a high school aged girl did the song and i was impressed by the song. thats all i got.
correction, she is awes, the band she duets with makes my brainz bleed.
has anyone got a download link for the manics version?
ella...........................ella........................ella
I was walking round the supermarket when this came on last night. Everyone I walked past was signing along to themselves.
True story.
Everyone loves Rihanna's 'Umbrella'.
here is ''umbrella'' in sign language, in case you noticed my hi-larious typo:

Umbrella with good commodore 64 noisey synth, largarphone and hella-big beats. else: myspace.com/joelsaunders
sorry bad at html
is that meant to make us think ''Geez, he tricked me into listening to his song, when I thought it would be ''Umbrella'', but gosh he's good! Bravo! I'll tell all my friends about you''
Cos I didn't think that when I heard it. I thought something else
ooops. sorry theneworphan, i really didn't mean to trick you, cause i really couldn't care if people listened to it and am not minded towards 'getting myself out there'. but you know, it is there, and some kids might enjoy it. i just copy and pasted poorly.
